I’m really excited to announce that The Wise Old Owl received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis on 2nd November 2020.
I tweeted Theo about my business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six weekly winners to gain recognition and a retweet by Theo to his 500,000 Twitter followers. The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2500 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
Since my win I’ve seen an increase in activity across all of my social media pages and increased traffic to my The British Craft House store. TWOO had just celebrated its second birthday and I still work out of my spare room at home. It’s just amazing to have support from Theo because it’s been really hard trying to raise my profile and Theo has recognised my hard work and helped spread the word about what I do to his following.
The recognition from Theo and Small Business Sunday means such a lot to me; it’s a real confirmation of all my efforts and hard work over the last two years. In addition, The Wise Old Owl is now profiled on the Small Business Sunday directory, which is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners, and I now have access to a wonderful network of thousands of other small businesses.
