Ten things that you maybe don’t know about me…

  1. The very first piece of music that I bought was the 12″ single of Stephen Tin Tin Duffy’s Kiss Me. I still have it after all these years.
  2. Before I became the Chief of The Wise Old Owl I worked in an admin managerial role in higher education. It was great fun and a very rewarding experience, but sometimes even the best things have to come to an end.
  3. I am the youngest of three girls in our family and we all have out birthdays on the same day of the week. This year our three birthdays are on a Thursday.
  4. I absolutely hated sewing lessons at school and really only learnt how to use a sewing machine when my husband came home one day with his Grandmother’s old Toyota machine.
  5. I made our three tier wedding cake and always dreamed of having my own cake shop but I’m terrified of making someone ill!
  6. I lived and worked in London for a while and the flat that I lived in was on the A1 at Highbury Corner. That fact always made me smile as the A1 road takes you all the way back to Edinburgh.
  7. I met my husband as a chance meeting on a dusty dancefloor. We kept bumping in to each other at various events around Edinburgh and 12 months later we started dating. Always believe in fate.
  8. I love coffee. Two cups every morning, and never after 12 noon!
  9. The first car I ever owned was a lemon yellow Mini City with chocolate brown velour seats. I named him the Phantom Flyer and drove him like the wind. Unfotuantely the radiator cracked one day and it was too expensive to have fixed. The end of a lovely affair.
  10. I’ve really enjoyed writing and sharing this list; it’s been a wee trip down memory lane!
