Sunday morning came and the sun was shining. Yay! Always great to have good weather on market day. It encourages people out and about. I arrived at the venue and took the first of my things inside. At first, I couldn’t see where my table was. There were lots of people milling about, setting up, and bustling around. It took me a wee while to just find my bearings and adjust to the setting. Then I noticed my friend’s table sign – crisp white and a gorgeous purple – very distinctive and I knew straight away that it was her. I headed on over and found my spot next door to her. Thank you Carmen for arranging to put us together – you are a star!

Mother’s Day Gift Guide
It’s a perfect opportunity to spoil our mums and let them know that we are grateful for all that they have done and continue to do for us. It’s a chance to treat them and make them feel special. Perhaps you might buy your mum a beautiful bouquet of flowers? Or a special box of chocolates? Maybe a trip to the beautician for a relaxing treat? However you choose to show your love, you’ll know what your mum would like best.
Winter is upon us
The weather has taken a turn this week and we’ve had snow, frost, biting wind and gales here in Edinburgh. All in one day, it seems! This turn of seasons makes me want to hunker down and stay indoors with a good book and great coffee. How about you? Add to that a snuggly blanketContinue reading “Winter is upon us”
Not another bunch of flowers….
Some of the most precious gifts that I’ve received over the years have brought memories and reminders with them. Reminders of people or places whenever I use them. Take our carving knife set that we have at home, as an example. Given to us by Maurice and Alison on our wedding day, every time that I use the set I’m transported to their sitting room deep in conversation and debate, and caught up in their vast knowledge of life.
Feedback and Review
If you are a regular on social media, you’ll often see posts from small businesses talking about a recent piece of feedback or a customer review that they’ve just received. These are invaluable to small creative businesses as they help future customers get a feel for what they should expect both in terms of productContinue reading “Feedback and Review”
TWOO All Wrapped Up
There’s a lot of truth in that Sound of Music Song*… ‘brown paper packages tied up with string…’ These are a few of my favourite things. I love the care and detail that goes in to carefully packaged parcels and gifts. A very dear friend of mine is an absolute expert and birthday and ChristmasContinue reading “TWOO All Wrapped Up”
How do you like your eggs…?
Ideal for breakfast in bed, sharing brunch with friends, or treating the family when they come to visit, egg cosies are not just for Easter. They bring a touch of fun to the morning, or tea time too.
How am I doing…?
nerve wracking whenever I send out an item to a customer. I never really know if they have recieved it. And then I never really know if they like it. I just have to hope that all has gone well, unless I hear otherwise.
A day in the life…
I try to split my day in to home life in the morning and TWOO in the afternoons. That way there’s always dinner on the table and clean socks in the drawer. Otherwise, I’d happily spend all day sewing, making and creating, and not get much else done.

Yay! We’ve made it to the end of the year. Christmas is behind us now and the new year is on the horizon. Well done to all of us! I’ve had such brilliant year here at TWOO HQ and my business and gone from strength to strength. I’ve got lots of plans and designs waitingContinue reading “it’s SALE time!”
